In the land where mountains kiss the sky,
Where rivers sing their ancient lullaby,
A nation stands, unbowed, unbroken,
With words of freedom softly spoken.
But freedom's song, we now have learned,
Is not just won where borders turn,
It's in the soil, the seeds we sow,
In every field where harvests grow.
It’s in the wires that hum with light,
In minds that chase the endless night,
In balance sheets that hold our pride,
In every step we take in stride.
For sovereignty is more than land,
It’s every dream, each outstretched hand,
It's food on tables, tech that thrives,
The strength of all our daily lives.
And now we call for heroes new,
Whose courage wears a different hue,
Not just in battles, bold and fierce,
But in the quiet, steady years.
A hero's heart in every home,
In every hand that carves in stone,
A nation built by sacrifice,
By those who pay freedom's price.
For Ethiopia, strong and free,
Will stand on pillars we can't see,
In every child, in every choice,
In every voice that lifts its voice.
So rise, O children, near and far,
For you are Ethiopia's star,
A country shaped by those who dare,
To give, to build, to love, to care.
