Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Ph.D.) has expressed deep sorrow over the professor's passing. In a statement posted on social media, the Prime Minister hailed Professor Beyene Petros as a symbol of peaceful political struggle who played a vital role in shaping Ethiopia’s political culture.
