KT News 05-09-2024/:- Ethio Telecom has announced a significant contribution of 694.2 million birr in both financial and in-kind support to initiatives that enhance social and economic well-being.
Frehiwot Tamru, CEO of Ethio Telecom, underscored the company's unwavering dedication to socially impactful initiatives, emphasizing its ongoing endeavors under the campaign titled “A New Beginning Towards the New Year with a New Perspective and New Hope.”
The company has consistently aligned its social responsibility efforts with this theme, focusing on making a difference as the new year approaches.
Part of this commitment includes the investment of over 67 million birr to supply textbooks and educational materials to 75,000 underprivileged students across 930 schools nationwide.
Additionally, Ethio Telecom recently provided educational resources to students at Ku Keta Primary School in Burayu Sub-district.
Frehiwot also outlined plans to allocate more than 16 million birr towards food programs aimed at supporting vulnerable citizens, including residents at the Abebech Gobena Children’s Home.
