Ethiopia and China Sign Landmark MoU to Boost Cooperation Across 17 Key Sectors


KT News 05-09-2024/: Ethiopia and China have taken a significant step in strengthening their long-standing relationship by signing a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that outlines cooperation in 17 different sectors. This agreement represents an enhancement of the strategic partnership between the two nations, which have had solid ties for a long time.

The signing of the MoU followed high-level consultations between Ethiopia's Prime Minister, Dr. Abiy Ahmed, and China's Premier, Li Qiang. In his statement on social media, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed emphasized the importance of the agreement, describing it as a "typical example" of the unchanging and resilient nature of Ethiopia-China relations, regardless of global or regional circumstances.
