KT News 07-09-2024/:- Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Ph.D) addresses the people on Social Media today to emphasize the importance of reform over revolution in the nation's progress.
In his post, he reflected on the impact of revolutionary movements, stating, "Revolution has swept away the good from the bad." He acknowledged that Ethiopia has struggled to establish strong, cross-cutting institutions, which led the government to opt for a reform-oriented approach instead.
“We weigh, refine, examine, and adopt what is best for us, while discarding what is not,” Abiy said, emphasizing a thoughtful and selective approach to change.
He highlighted significant progress across various sectors, including political, economic, security, legal, agricultural, educational, and civil service reforms.
The Prime Minister concluded with a message of unity and optimism, stating, “If we work together, there is no reform that we cannot achieve; no prosperity beyond reach.”
His remarks underscore the government’s commitment to its reform agenda as Ethiopia navigates complex challenges in pursuit of long-term stability and growth.
